Whipped Tallow Body Butter
Get ready to indulge yourself in the ultimate self care with my Whipped Tallow Body Butter. Using all-natural ingredients like organic grass fed beef tallow and organic cold pressed carrot seed oil, this body butter will leave your skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated from within. Add in the additional benefits of a few essential oils and you will be glowing all summer long!
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Organic Grass-Fed Beef Tallow: Tallow is high in vitamins A, D, E, and K, making it extremely nourishing and hydrating to the skin. Vitamin E contains antioxidants allowing it to help protect the skin from the sun. Also, tallow is known for being used to prevent fine lines and wrinkles.
Organic Cold-Pressed Carrot Seed Oil: Carrot seed oil is known for being antibacterial as well as a natural anti-aging serum. In addition, it is soothing to the skin because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Like the tallow, carrot seed oil can help protect the skin from any damage the sun may cause.
Essential Oils (Optional): If you plan to add essential oils (EO) to your body butter, then be sure to buy therapeutic-grade oils from a reputable brand. For this body butter, I chose to use Lavender and Citrus Bliss EOs from Doterra. Lavender is great for any form of skincare because it is known for being soothing to the skin and relaxing to the mind and body. Meanwhile, Citrus Bliss is an uplifting blend of EOs with a sweet citrus scent.

Whipped Tallow Body Butter
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic grass-fed tallow
- ¼ cup organic carrot seed oil
- 40 drops essential oil optional
Instructions
- MELT THE TALLOW: Fill a medium-sized pot, half way with water. Place the pot on the stove and set to a low-medium heat. Create a double boiler by placing a heat-safe bowl on the pot. To the bowl, add the tallow and allow it to melt.
- ADD IN REMAINING INGREDIENTS: Once the tallow has melted, turn off the stove and remove the bowl from the pot. Add the carrot seed oil and essential oils of your choice to the bowl and mix thoroughly. Set aside for an hour or two until the mixture solidifies.
- WHIP THE MIXTURE: When the mixture is solid, use a mixer to whip the body butter until it forms stiff peaks or the consistency you desire.
- STORE YOUR BODY BUTTER: Keep your body butter in an airtight container. If you are using essential oils, it is important to keep your body butter in a glass container.
